Some recipes call for ingredients by weight and the compact digital scale from Norpro will read out in grams or ounces allowing you to add just the right amount of them to your favorite recipe.  The attractive battery operated countertop unit measures up to 11 lbs. of food on the tempered glass platform, which sits atop a sleek silver base with an easy-to-read digital display. Made in America, the base of the unit measures 8 inches/20cm long by 5.5 inches/14cm wide and  2 inches/5cm tall.  The square glass top measures 5.75 inches/14.5cm by 5.75 inches/14.5 cm with rounded corners.  It also has a battery saving auto-off feature and uses a 9 bolt battery which is included.  Wipe the scale with a clean, damp cloth and hand wash the glass platform.
